10 Ways To Clean With Vinegar

Cleaning With Vinegar

cleaningIn case you did not know it, Vinegar can be used to clean. Here is a video of ways to use vinegar and a few things not to use vinegar on.

Drain Cleaner: One of my favorites is to combine baking soda with some vinegar and use it as a drain cleaner. You first put in the soda and then pour some vinegar on top of that and leave for 10 minutes.

Scum around Faucets: Sometimes this can be hard to remove.  Dampen paper towels with vinegar, but not so much that it is too soggy. Wind paper towels around the handles, faucets, the whole fixture. Let that sit at least 30 minutes. Remove the paper towels and scrub away the scum with a small brush or tooth brush. If some areas do not come clean, soak again for another 30 minutes and scrub again.

Bathtub and Shower Cleaner: Heat 1/2 cup of white vinegar and add 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap, stir it together. Put that in a spray bottle when it cools down enough to handle. Spray that on the surfaces and wait for one hour. Come back with a damp cloth, or even a scrub brush. Scour the surfaces and then rinse. Scum, dirt and even mold comes off so much easier.

You can replace many of your toxic chemical cleaners with the use of vinegar.
